Description

Uncovering Victim Behaviour and Rationale

Do you ever wonder why people need to make excuses and or share the information below with you on your first encounter with them:

  • “I am really sorry but yesterday I had a bad argument with my daughter and that is why I was rude to you”
  • The only reason I become jealous is because of what happened in my last relationship but I trust you.
  • Once I feel more settled about my situation, I will be able to help you out.
  • On their first day of work a new colleague says to you over coffee break: “I have to careful with my caffeine intake because it can trigger palpitations”

If you can tick more than one, you will find this three hours workshop very beneficial as it will equip you with tools to self-reflect as well as to identify situations that may be currently clouded and immobilised by victim currency and power.

“We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds--the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts of other people. They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise”. Dr. Carolyn Myss

About your presenter: Alex Collins is a qualified Professional Counsellor, educated in the United States and South America. An experienced trainer with over nine years practice in family counselling, addiction recovery, mental health education and couples therapy.
