Rockhampton and Mackay

Family Relationship Centres (FRCs) are located in Rockhampton and Mackay. The Mackay FRC opened its doors for business on 1 July 2008.

 

Both Centres provide family dispute resolution services to separated couples in relation to parenting their children. The parenting plans developed by parents through mediation, enable both parents to have input and take responsibility for parenting their children post–separation.

 

This non–adversarial process means that couples can avoid court and come to agreements in a supported, respectful way, working with Family Advisors and qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners.

 

The FRC also offers information sessions to parents and the general community on the issues affecting children after separation.
